Monitoring of dry cutting and applications of cutting fluid
Abstract:
The aim of this research is to monitor the dry cutting, the wet cutting, and the mist cutting in turning process to select themost suitable cutting condition for the plain carbon steel with the coated carbide tool based on the consideration of the surface roughness of themachined part, the life of the cutting tool, and the use ofminimumquantity lubrication. The dynamometer is installed on the turret of a CNC turning machine in order to measure the in-process cutting force. The in-process cutting forces obtained are studied and analysed for the machinability of steel under various cutting conditions. The experimentally obtained results showed that the relation between the tool wear and the surface roughness, the relation between the tool wear and the cutting force, and the relation between the cutting force and the surface roughness are correspondent with the same trend. The phenomena of the surface roughness and the tool wear can be well explained by the experimentally obtained in-process cutting forces.

چکیده:
هدف این پژوهش، مونیتورینگ برش خشک، برش مرطوب، و برش مه در فرآیند تراشکاری است تا مناسبترین شرط برش را برای فولاد کربنی ساده با ابزار کاربید پوشش داده شده بر اساس توجه به زبری سطح بخش ماشین کاری شده، عمر ابزار برشی، و استفاده از حداقل مقدار روغن کاری انتخاب کرد. دینامومتر بر روی برجک یک ماشین تراشکاری CNC نصب می شود تا نیروی برش در فرایند را اندازه گیری کند. نیروهای داخل فرآیند برش به دست آمده برای ماشینکاری فولاد تحت شرایط مختلف برش مورد بررسی قرار گرفته و تجزیه و تحلیل می شوند. نتایج تجربی به دست آمده نشان دادند که رابطه بین سایش ابزار و زبری سطح، رابطه بین سایش ابزار و نیروی برش، و ارتباط بین نیروی برش و زبری سطح با همان روند سازگار هستند. پدیده زبری سطحی و سایش ابزار می تواند به خوبی با نیروهای برش تجربی به دست آمده از فرایند توجیه شوند.
